Air Arabia to resume daily flights to Syria from July 10
Flights to operate non-stop from Sharjah to Damascus International Airport
SHARJAH: Air Arabia will resume direct flights to Damascus starting 10 July 2025, reconnecting Sharjah with the Syrian capital after a years-long pause.
The airline will operate a double daily service, providing 14 non-stop flights per week between Sharjah International Airport and Damascus International Airport.
The move strengthens Air Arabia’s network in the region and offers increased convenience for both leisure and business travellers, as well as the Syrian diaspora across the UAE and beyond.
Sharjah to Damascus
The resumed route marks a significant step in revitalising regional air connectivity. According to Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, the double daily schedule is designed to meet the growing demand for travel between the UAE and Syria. “This route holds particular significance in serving the Syrian diaspora and supporting trade, tourism, and cultural exchange,” he noted.
Enhanced travel experience
The flights will be operated by Air Arabia’s modern fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy onboard services such as ‘SkyTime’, a complimentary in-flight streaming platform, and ‘SkyCafe’, offering a wide menu of snacks and meals. Travellers can also earn and redeem points through ‘Air Rewards’, the carrier’s loyalty programme.
